The Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy invites you to attend the Spring 2019 Midterm Workshop Briefings. During the Midterm Briefings, students will present their preliminary findings as a part of the culminating output for ENVP U9232: The Workshop in Applied Earth Systems Policy Analysis. In the spring semester workshop, new groups are formed to undertake analytic projects for real-world clients in government and nonprofit agencies. These teams, working under the supervision of faculty members, write a report analyzing an actual environmental policy or management problem faced by their clients.

This year's projects and clients include:
    • Project: Assessing the infrastructure and financial requirements of affordable water and wastewater services for rural communities in the United States (Client: Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell, Alabama’s 7th District; Hillary Beard, Senior Policy Advisor)
    • Project: IFAW x IUCN: World Conservation Congress 2020 (Client: International Fund for Animal Welfare)
    • Project: Recommending Energy Efficiency Program Design Changes to NYSERDA (Client: NYSERDA)
    • Project: Global Restoration Initiative Policy Analysis (Client: World Resources Institute)
    • Project: Translating science into policy: A Global Transformation towards 1.5 °C (Client: Greenpeace International)
Breakfast and light refreshments will be provided. Prospective students are highly encouraged to attend and stay afterwards to connect with current students and faculty.
