The Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy invites you to attend the Spring 2021 Midterm Workshop Briefings. During the Midterm Briefings, students will present their preliminary findings as a part of ENVP U9232 The Workshop in Applied Earth Systems Policy Analysis. In the spring semester, new groups are formed to undertake analytic projects for real-world clients in government and nonprofit agencies. These teams, working under the supervision of faculty members, write a report analyzing an actual environmental policy or management problem faced by their clients.

This year's projects and clients include:

    • Project: Climate Change Resilience through Agricultural Water Reuse for Food and Wine Production in the Hudson River Valley, New York (Client: The Water Reuse Association)
    • Project: A Federal Policy to Manage Refrigerant Banks (Client: Natural Resources Defense Council)
    • Project: Prioritizing levee infrastructure: is there a better way to decide who stays safe and dry? (Client: NAACP)
    • Project: What financial and economic incentives exists for restoration in the US? (Client: World Resources Institute)
    • Project: The Power of Nature: Accelerating carbon pricing policies and legal framework for Ecuador (Client: Conservation International- Ecuador)

The Zoom link will be sent to registrants the day before the briefings. If you have any questions, please reach out to Stephanie Hoyt at sah2239@columbia.edu
